  1. Hue royal Tomb of Gia Long (Thien Tho Tomb)

Gia Long tomb is the first King’s tomb of the Nguyen dynasty, built from 1814 to 1820. It is about 20 km from city of Hue, on the bank of Perfume River upstream. The tomb opening time is from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Tourist normally visit this tomb by dragon boat or scooters. Note: No entrance fees.

  1. Hue royal Tomb of Minh Mang (Hieu tomb)

Minh Mang tomb is the final resting place of the second King of Nguyen dynasty, Minh Mang. The tomb is about 12 km West of Hue city centre and is the most beautiful old tomb.  Dragon boat or Hue motorbike rental  is the best way to visit this tomb.

3. Tomb of khai Dinh (Ung tomb)

Khai Dinh is the 12th emperor of Nguyen Dynasty (1885-1925). It is the most massive mausoleum in Hue. Compare to the tombs of previous emperors, Tomb of Khai Dinh is the smallest, but most luxurious work in Viet Nam. It took 11 years to complete the tomb while he ruled only 9 years from 1916-1925.The resting place is about 10km from Hue centre. It is very convenient for visitors to take one day Hue city tours.

 

4. Hue royal tomb of Thieu Tri.

Thieu Tri is the royal tomb of the fourth king of Nguyen dynasty. The architectural style of this tomb is the mixture of structure from the Gia Long and Minh Mang tomb. You may feel the peace of file of rice, fruit garden when coming here. You can visit the tombs without fee.

 

5. Hue royal tomb of Tu Duc

Tu Duc Tomb is an impressive complex among the tombs of the Nguyen dynasty. It is located in a narrow valley, 8 km from Hue city. This is the final resting place of Emperor Tu Duc who had the longest reign of all emperors of The Nguyen dynasty. Hue private car tours is a good way to visit this tomb.Ticket prices: 100.000 VND

6. Hue Royal Tombs of Duc Duc (An tomb)

Emperor Duc Duc’s burial ground is a small complex that also includes the graves of Emperors Thanh Thai and Duy Tan. Interestingly, Duc Duc was imprisoned by the court for being a Francophile and he died after reigning only three days. The tomb site is modest but possesses enigmatic charm.  Compared to other tombs, the architectural style of the Duc Duc tomb is quite simple with an area of 3,445 m2.
