Located on the hilltop of Pagoda is the Kim Than Phat To Nha Trang statue (White Buddha statue), built in 1963. This outdoor statue is constructed from concrete, stands about 14 meters tall, with a pedestal height of 7 meters and a width of 10 meters.
Beneath the pedestal, there is a relief portrait of Thich Quang Duc and six monks who self-immolated to protest against the religious oppression in Vietnam in 1963 under the government of Ngo Dinh Diem.
The Kim Than Phat To statue has been recognized as the “largest outdoor Buddha statue in Vietnam.” From its initial construction, this statue was considered the largest in the Central region.
